You specified a structural adhesive that passed every standard test. Lap shear well within range. Cure time textbook. The bond line looked clean. The parts left the line without a single flag.
Then, three years later, the joint failed. No impact. No visible warning. The adhesive simply let go.
I've spent four years reviewing product batches for a specialty chemicals company before they reach customers—roughly 200 items a year.
